Wilson, North Carolina’s story has captivated the imagination of the country. Farm machinery repairman, Vollis Simpson, began making gigantic kinetic sculptures at his family farm in Wilson County when he was nearing retirement age. He kept making his “whirligigs”–seven days a week–until about six months before he dies at the age of 94 in May of 2013. By that time he was famous. The story of Wilson’s campaign to use the renowned whirligigs to recharge its downtown has catapulted the community into the national spotlight. Grants from ArtPlace America, the Kresge Foundation, and the National Endowment for the Arts have helped the project come close to its goal of opening the Vollis Simpson Whirligig Park and Museum.

This 4K stream is from Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan. Here you can see the Yurikamome Expressway, near the Shiodome Toll Gate on the Metropolitan Expressway Loop Line. At night, you can view the Kachidoki Tower Mansion and the Tsukiji Bridge over the Sumida River will be lit up.
Visible in the center is the Hamarikyu Gardens, a classic Japanese garden offering an oasis of calm in the big city. The garden is built around a tidal pond of seawater drawn from the bay. It is the only remaining seawater pond from the Edo era in Tokyo and it's appearance changes according to the flow of the tide. Nevsky Prospekt is St. Petersburg's main avenue and one of the best-known streets in Russia. It is the city's central shopping street and the hub of the city's entertainment and nightlife.
Cutting through the historical center of the city, it runs from the Admiralty to the Moscow Railway Station and then to the Alexander Nevsky Monastery.
In the very first days of St. Petersburg it was simply the beginning of the road to the ancient city of Novgorod, but it quickly became adorned with beautiful buildings, squares and bridges and became the very center of the bustling, rapidly growing city.
Nevsky gradually widens as you travel along its length towards the river and is lined with some of St. Petersburg's most impressive buildings.
Kazan Cathedral is on one side and there is a wonderful view down Kanal Griboedova to the picturesque Russian-style Church of Our Savior on Spilled Blood. In addition there are many different denomination churches that line Nevsky, which prompted the French writer Alexander Dumas to call it "the street of religious tolerance".
There are numerous other attractions in the area. Just a stone's throw from Nevsky, next door to the Grand Hotel Europe, stands Arts Square and the Russian Museum. Further down the road, you'll find the largest department store in the city - "Gostiny Dvor" and the Russian National Library. There is also an impressive monument to Catherine the Great and the Anichkov Bridge, adorned with 4 striking equestrian statues.

Perched on the edge of both Sapsucker Woods and its 10-acre pond, these feeders attract both forest species like chickadees and woodpeckers as well as some species that prefer open environments near water like Red-winged Blackbirds.

Sokolka is situated in the eastern part of Podlasie Vojevodship, on the edge of Knyszyn Primeval Forest, by the international road and railway route Warsaw-Bialystok-Grodno and running farther towards Minsk, Vilnius, Riga, St. Petersburg and Moscow. The municipality borders on Belarus and is situated on the territory of a future European Union’s east boundary. Sokolka municipality covers the area of 314 km2. It is inhabited by 28 thousand of people, with 20 thousand living in the town and 8 thousand in the countryside (90 villages).
The beautiful landscape of glacial hills reaching 230 meters above sea level which is the area of the protected landscape of The Sokolka Hills and The Landscape Park in the valley of Sokolda river encourage everyone to go in for hiking, cycling, horsing and skiing. The attraction in the summer time is the rest at the local reservoir. The bicycle trail from Augustow to Bialowieza runs through the town. Cyclists can find here many other beautiful paths.

By 1878, Varna was an Ottoman city of mostly wooden houses in a style characteristic of the Black Sea coast, densely packed along narrow, winding lanes. It was surrounded by a stone wall restored in the 1830s with a citadel, a moat, ornamented iron gates flanked by towers, and a vaulted stone bridge across the River Varna. The place abounded in pre-Ottoman relics, ancient ruins were widely used as stone quarries. Today, very little of this legacy remains; the city centre was rebuilt by the nascent Bulgarian middle class in late 19th and early 20th centuries in Western style with local interpretations of Neo-Renaissance, Neo-Baroque, Neoclassicism, Art Nouveau and Art Deco (many of those buildings, whose ownership was restored after 1989, underwent renovations).

Varna has an impressive nightlife and many say that the city never sleeps. It’s almost impossible to find closed bar or club during the night in the summer. Many of the bars and restaurants in the summer mounts are located direct on the beach, nearby the Sea Garden.

Sheltered on the east side of the island of Vågsøy, Måløy is a major exporter of Norway's treasured seafood
A charming village, with a population of just over 3,000 people, Måløy is the administrative centre of the municipality of Vågsøy. While the town is small, it has huge facilities for preserving and processing fish. Every year, 180,000-200,000 tonnes of fish are brought ashore here and then exported directly abroad. You can see the schedule for the ships entering and leaving the port here.
Vågsøy has several unique characteristics. In addition to Måløy town centre and its many lighthouses, the area is known for the well-known Kannestenen rock, molded by the sea over thousands of years into a spectacular mushroom-like shape. Also, for lazy summer days, you'll find a beautiful silver sand beach. Some say it's the most beautiful in Norway. Adding to its local attractions, Måløy is close to several famous national attractions like the Jostedalsbreen National Park - where you will find the largest glacier in continental Europe.
History
Legend has it that Viking King Magnus the Good went ashore on the small island of Moldøen in 1035. From here he summoned all the peasants in the area to "thing" (meaning assembly of free men). His father St. Olav had been fighting these peasants for a long time, but Magnus wanted peace and promised them better laws and more freedom. The island was then named Málstefna, literally "speaking stone".
This was later modernized to Moldøen. Måløy was originally founded as a trading centre on this small island. As trade flourished, the town gradually moved to the larger island of Vågsøy, while keeping the name of the smaller island. This is the cause of some confusion, although the smaller island is today often known as "Lisje-Måløyna" (the smaller Måløy). Måløy became an official town in 1997.

This PTZ camera moves around to give you a tour of Mehamn, Norway.
The town has always been a traditional fishing settlement, today it has around 800 inhabitants, with the most common businesses being fishing and tourism. Mehamn is the northernmost port of Hurtigruten as well as the administrative center of Gamvik municipality.
Mehamn hosts several festivals (such as Nordkynfestivalen) and cultural events each year. The settlement also has a vibrant nightlife, including a night club at the Arctic Hotel, with frequent live music performances.

TOWER TEN is part of the WTC Amsterdam complex in Amsterdam’s Zuidas business district, one of the most successful office locations in the Netherlands. When completed, the development will have added 32,000 m2 to the WTC, spread over 22 storeys.
The project also includes the complete renovation of the 17,000 m2 tower on the corner of Strawinskylaan and Beethovenlaan. The overhaul will ensure all offices and facilities are fully in line with the current high-value WTC concept. Both fixed and flexible office spaces will be on offer. Born in 1989, Berlin is queen of her domain! Whether she's napping in her sandy pit or swimming laps in her cooled pool, Berlin chooses what she wants to do and when.
Nuniq - pronounced "new-nick" - was born at Columbus Zoo and Aquarium in 2016 and arrived in Kansas City in 2020. You will frequently see him splashing around in the pool and tearing up some of his favorite toys.
Polar Bear Passage Facts:
• A 140,000 gallon pool chilled to 65 degrees for swimming and diving.
• A giant sand pit for digging (or napping) and a grassy yard for rolling around and playing with enrichment items.
• Air-conditioned bedrooms and den behind the scenes, complete with private swimming pool.
Keeping Busy:
Zookeepers plan daily activities for our bears. They use varied foods, smells, toys and sounds to change what they experience everyday. You may see our bears playing with balls, barrels, logs, or straw – they have a lot of options! You may also notice that Berlin sometimes paces, which is a habit she developed as a younger bear. The amount of time she paces changes from season to season, probably due to weather changes, hormones and natural instincts.
The Menu:
Berlin and Nuniq have a wide choice of food items. Herring, capelin, trout, polar bear kibble, lard and a selection of fruits and vegetables are all on the menu. Seasonally, polar bear weights fluctuate widely just as they would in the Arctic. In summer months, polar bears weigh much less because they are unable to hunt seals on the ice. In the winter, when hunting is possible, polar bears pack on the pounds.

Located just 2 km from Kranjska Gora, Lake Jasna is a stunning alpine lake covering a surface area of 2.2 ha. Located on the west side of Kasutsu Onsen, this is a park where an Onsen river flows. 1400 liters of hot spring water comes out from more than 20 hot spring sources.Visitors can enjoy the view throughout the four seasons, such as the fresh green, autumn leaves and snow view, while enjoying the Sai-no-Kawahara open-air bath and foot bath. This open-air bath is one of the hottest in Kusatsu Onsen.
It is said it is very good for sterilization and anti-inflammation. Opening hours from April to November are from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and from December to March it is open from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Entry fee for adults is 600 yen and 300 yen for children.

Umbria has a small airport at Perugia with flights from Europe and the UK. Gubbio is about 124 miles from Rome Fiumicino airport.

Alishan or Ali Mountain in Taiwan is a hugely popular tourist destination for those who love nature. This mountainous town is at an altitude of 1,403 meters, the views, the old street, and the railway are the three unforgettable things about Fenchihu Lake for those lucky enough to visit. When walking along the 500 meter long old street, you will see many vendors selling local foods, such as spicy horseradish, Aiyu seed, and tamarillo.
The sides of Fenchihu Lake are surrounded by mountains. The scene of residential houses sitting between the mountains won the place the reputation as “Joufen of Southern Taiwan.” The houses built on the mountains inconspicuously reveal the trace of time.

How Frenchy’s Restaurants Got Started
Michael Preston AKA FrenchyMichael Preston was born in Quebec, a French-speaking province of Canada. His family moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan when he was in middle school. Michael grew up in a bilingual household, so when his new friends heard him speaking French with his mom, they started calling him “Frenchy”…and it stuck.
Shortly after high school, Frenchy and some friends took a vacation to Clearwater Beach, Florida. He loved it so much that he decided to stay and get a job at a local restaurant. Frenchy worked hard learning every job as he progressed from dishwasher to manager. After eight years in the industry, he was ready to make his dream a reality – opening his own restaurant.
Frenchy’s goal was simple: to have a friendly, laid-back place where people could come to enjoy a cold drink and fresh seafood. So in 1981, Frenchy’s Original Café, the quaint restaurant on a tiny side street, opened its doors to the beach community (see images below). The Café became an instant success, with lines of people stretching out the door on a daily basis. To ensure a constant source of fresh fish to the Café, Frenchy purchased a fleet of fishing boats and eventually opened Frenchy’s Seafood Company. With these resources in place, Frenchy’s became “famous” for its fresh Super Grouper sandwich, spawning the opening of four more restaurants: Frenchy’s Saltwater Café in 1989, Frenchy’s Rockaway Grill in 1991, Frenchy’s South Beach Cafe in 2003 and Frenchy’s Outpost Bar & Grill in 2013. Three decades running, the Frenchy’s restaurants are still regarded as a staple for delicious, fresh-from-the-Gulf seafood at reasonable prices in a fun and casual beach atmosphere.
In 2010, Frenchy continued building his mini empire on Clearwater Beach with the purchase of the former Olympia Motel, located on East Shore Drive. After months of extensive renovations, Frenchy’s Oasis Motel opened, boasting a 15 unit waterfront property, classically designed in retro 60’s, offering fantastic modern accommodations.
Situated along Marl Run in South Harrison, New Jersey, we enjoy one of the most peaceful and quiet preservations in the state. During the day the woods are abundant with songbirds, and by night you can watch a variety of critters stop in for a drink of water! We hope you enjoy the stream as much as we do.

La Cotinière is the largest and most important fishing port of the Charente-Maritime region. The fishing grounds around Oléron are some of the most valuable in Europe, supplying fish, molluscs, shrimps and lobsters.
This port with it's colorful boats, specializes in capturing noble species using fishing techniques that respect quality. In total, no less than 95 different species go to auction each year. Victorine's Market is the island's seafood market. Here you will find fresh seafood, unloaded directly from the boats.
After the visiting the docks, La Cotinière is a perfect place to stroll by the sea or lounge on the terrace of one of its many cafes and restaurants. La Cotinière is also great for those who like shopping, with more than 25 shops and services available, as well as daily markets.
For another gourmet experience you can visit La Cotinière market, which has a wide variety of excellent quality local produce. In July & August, the port comes alive every evening: with a night market, fun fair and street shows.
While on the island you can also visit the modern-style Saint-Nicolas Notre-Dame des flots chapel, built in 1966. Inside, the stained glass windows and the frame are quite remarkable.

Erasmus Bridge is a combined cable stayed and bascule bridge, construction began in 1986 and was completed in 1996. It crosses the nieuwe maas in the centre of Rotterdam, connecting the north and south parts of this city, the second largest city in the Netherlands. The bridge is 800 meters long and at its highest point, the bridge is 139 meters tall. Known as the 'erasmusbrug' in dutch, the bridge has also been lovingly nicknamed the swan (‘de zwaan’) by locals due to the distinctive shape.
Around the river, several old warehouses and a number of newer buildings now house cultural institutes and restaurants. In the distance, you can see the soaring De Rotterdam complex. The three linked towers are nearly 150 metres high, forming a ‘vertical city’ of high-class flats, a 4-star hotel, offices, shops, restaurants, fitness and parking facilities.

The City of Watertown, NY, USA aspires to be a vibrant, attractive community of rich recreational, cultural and economic opportunity that maintains a small town appeal. Public Square has recently been revitalized yet still retains a perfect balance of modern appeal with quaint charm.
The square is listed as a Public Square Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places, encompassing 58 contributing buildings, one contributing site, and three contributing objects. A Leisurely Day in West Bay
If you want a change from the beaches and coastal walks then make for the harbour where you will also find river boats for hire. From here you can take a leisurely rowing boat trip on the River Brit through riverside meadows, but don’t forget to take a picnic. Or take a stroll over to the old station and walk along the disused railway track to Bridport where you can visit the local brewery for a spot of wine tasting!
The Coastal and Harbour Improvements
West Bay had been known as Bridport Harbour until the railway arrived in 1884. Now only the harbour itself retains that name. Over the centuries West Bay has been battered by the elements, baring the scars of numerous storm battles. A three year scheme to rebuild the coastal defences and harbour piers at a cost of £18 million was completed in the winter of 2004 / 2005. The Duke of York formally opened the completed scheme on Tuesday, 8th March 2005.
Marshall, Michigan is a small town with a rich history, conveniently situated between Detroit and Chicago to welcome businesses and travelers. The location has served it well as Marshall boasts a history dating back to 1830 when fur trading was its main economic driver. Today, visitors enjoy touring the city’s many restored sites within one of the nation’s largest historic landmark districts. Other stops like Schuler’s Restaurant & Pub, Dark Horse Brewery and the Honolulu House anchor a vibrant downtown filled with unique shops, restaurants and sycamore tree-lined streets.
