With roughly one million inhabitants, Sendai (仙台) is by far the largest city in the Tohoku Region and one of the country's 15 largest cities. The modern city of Sendai was founded around 1600 by Date Masamune, one of feudal Japan's most powerful lords. Many of Sendai's tourist attractions are related to Masamune and his family.
Sendai was the closest major city to the epicenter of the earthquake of March 11, 2011. The tsunami devastated the city's coastal outskirts but did not cause major damage in the city center. Virtually all tourist spots reopened within a few months of the earthquake.
Less than an hour northeast of the city center lies the town of Matsushima, whose bay is dotted by pine clad islets and is known for one of Japan's three most scenic views.

The city center was rebuilt by Auguste Perret after the Second World War and today it is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city is decorated with beautiful architecture and a huge variety of public artworks, just walking around the city will fill you with endless inspiration.
To enjoy the sights from a different perspective, you can climb up to the 17th floor of the town hall tower and enjoy a wonderful panoramic view. From here you can see the white curves of Niemeyer’s Volcan, Avenue Foch leading to the twin towers of the Porte Océane and of course the lantern tower of the Church of St Joseph, one of the masterpieces of 20th-century architecture.
A fantastic beach is found just 800 metres from the city centre, it comes alive from spring to autumn. It is a vibrant area thanks to the presence of huts and restaurants. You can practise sports from canoe to stand-up paddle, from kite surfing to BMX and skateboard, you can even play boules! It’s a great place to be, lounging in the deckchairs on the terraces, watching a cruise liner head off, marked by the three siren calls of the Port Watch.

The town is situated within the historic Greater Poland region, located on the small Dojca river, a headstream of the Obra, about 72 kilometres (45 mi) southwest of Poznań.
The municipal area includes a large lake (Jezioro Wolsztyńskie), next to which is a former palace built in Classical style in the early 20th century, now used as a hotel and restaurant, and a park. Nearby tourist destinations include the Pszczew Landscape Park and the Przemęt Landscape Park.
West Harbour is immediately next to the centre of the city of Helsinki, Finland. It is one of the busiest ports in Europe with over 12 million passengers passing through it every year.
In addition to that, also over a million tonnes of cargo passes through the South Harbour each year. Most of the harbour's traffic is to Stockholm, Sweden and Tallinn, Estonia, and cruises. In summertime, there is also much small ship traffic.

Wilson, North Carolina’s story has captivated the imagination of the country. Farm machinery repairman, Vollis Simpson, began making gigantic kinetic sculptures at his family farm in Wilson County when he was nearing retirement age. He kept making his “whirligigs”–seven days a week–until about six months before he dies at the age of 94 in May of 2013. By that time he was famous. The story of Wilson’s campaign to use the renowned whirligigs to recharge its downtown has catapulted the community into the national spotlight. Grants from ArtPlace America, the Kresge Foundation, and the National Endowment for the Arts have helped the project come close to its goal of opening the Vollis Simpson Whirligig Park and Museum.

Old Faithful, in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming is one of the most famous geysers in the world and a must-see for visitors to the park. It erupts every 90 minutes on average, shooting boiling water up to 180 feet into the air. Each eruption lasts 1.5 to 5 minutes and is an incredible sight of nature’s power. The webcam gives you a front-row seat to this amazing show during the day, but since it’s in a natural setting, there’s no light at night—it’s completely dark until the sun rises again.
Yellowstone National Park is the first national park in the world, established in 1872. It is home to a variety of wildlife like bison, elk, bears, and wolves, as well as stunning landscapes with mountains, rivers, and hot springs. The park has over 10,000 geothermal features, including geysers, mud pots, and steaming vents. Old Faithful is part of the Upper Geyser Basin, which has the largest concentration of geysers in the world.

Damrak, the red carpet of Amsterdam. The street that is first to be seen at the exit of Amsterdam Central Station. Here you will find large shops, hotels and restaurants. The bridge spans Dahan River and can be found just below Zhongzheng Park. It connects to the cycling track on the left bank of Dahan River and is only available for use to pedestrians and cyclists. In addition to the lights switch on at night, adding atmosphere to the night scenery of the Dahan River banks. The bridge was constructed using the Baroque style similar to the buildings on Daxi Old Street. The bridge connects Ruian Road Section 1 and Daxi Old Street, making it simple to take a tour of culture and food over the weekends.

Every year around 80,000 vessels pass by Hoek van Holland - in- and outgoing. From sailing ships, the largest cruise ships, small cargo ships to mammoth tankers and even drilling rigs. The atmosphere on the boulevard is determined by, among other things, the special works of art and the 'Hoge Licht' lighthouse.

Warsaw easily intertwines the modern with the historic. For a relaxing afternoon, head to the Baroque-style Lazienki Park (Royal Baths). Created by the king in the 17th century, idle a while under the old oaks surrounded by squirrels and peacocks, little ponds and palaces. Warsaw is well connected by train to other cities. Kraków, the artistic heart of Poland, is only three hours away by InterCity train. Historic Gdansk on the Baltic coast is a bit lengthier – a six hour ride – but oh ! – the beauty you will see. Consider getting off the train in Malbork, just 20 minutes before Gdansk and visit its immense medieval castle. If you have a European East Pass, you could also visit Budapest, Vienna and Prague. With a Eurail Germany-Poland Pass, consider taking Berlin-Warsaw Express, which takes a bit over five hours.

Lala Mountain Nature Protection Zone Spring is filled with a romantic atmosphere! It formed into the Daguan Mountain Natural Landscape Reservation in 1986.
At Lala Mountain, a pink and white sea of flowers decorates the emerald green mountain top, attracting many tourists for the cherry blossoms. Around February to March every year, the 300-meter-long Zhongbaling Cherry Blossom Trail is filled with colorful Taiwan Cherry, Japanese Flowering, Prunus campanulata, Fuji cherry, etc. The falling petals in the breeze paint a beautiful and dreamy scene.
The mountain has the biggest area of juniper forest in Taiwan. The site is home to 18 giant juniper trees. Among these giant woods, the number five giant juniper is the oldest of all. It has a history of 2800 years! Besides the giant junipers, all kinds of rare birds also color the reservation region.

This 4K stream is from Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan. Here you can see the Yurikamome Expressway, near the Shiodome Toll Gate on the Metropolitan Expressway Loop Line. At night, you can view the Kachidoki Tower Mansion and the Tsukiji Bridge over the Sumida River will be lit up.
Visible in the center is the Hamarikyu Gardens, a classic Japanese garden offering an oasis of calm in the big city. The garden is built around a tidal pond of seawater drawn from the bay. It is the only remaining seawater pond from the Edo era in Tokyo and it's appearance changes according to the flow of the tide. Here you can sip a cup of tea, in a beautiful teahouse built to look as if it were floating on the water. Afterwards, take a stroll and enjoy the stunning sight of Japan’s seasonal flowers.

On the beautiful peninsula of Walcheren, also named “the garden of Zeeland” , you can find camping Janse. Just 2 km away from the village of Zoutelande and at the foot of the sand dunes. The beach is directly behind the campsite, a few minutes walk over the dunes brings you to the beach.
On our neatly kept camp site, all of the pitches are approx. 95 m2, with well cared for grass areas.
For the children we have a nice play area, an animal corner and a sand pit. Further you find a jeu de boules area and a covered area “Jansje” where you can borrow books, magazines, games and toys during your stay. During the holiday period, there is a recreational team three times a week on the campsite.
The campsite is on the bicycle route, walking paths and roller skating paths are nearby. Rather travel by bus, the busstop is outside the campsite, where your discovery trail can begin. Holidays on campsite Janse is a holiday, truly near the sea.

The city of Kristiansund is situated on four different islands. But don’t worry – in minutes, the tiny ferry Sundbåten will take you between Kirkelandet, Innlandet, Nordlandet and Gomalandet. Ask the skipper to let you off at the Milnbrygga wharf, where you can visit the Norwegian Clipfish Museum. Kristiansund was partly built on fishing, and especially the clipfish – split and salted cod that were traditionally dried on the cliffs along the sea.
Clipfish and bacalao are still staple foods in the region. Get a taste of some of the freshest seafood at Smia Fiskerestaurant. Located in a house from 1787, it is one of the most unique eateries in town. Speaking of food from the region – you need to try the award-winning cheeses from Tingvollost, especially “Kraftkar”, which has been named the world’s best cheese!
Join the annual food festival Snadderfestivalen in June to really dig into the local food, drink the local craft beers, and taste the local aquavit, which is made on potatoes and seaweed.
Did you know that Kristiansund is home to the country’s oldest opera? With more than 100 performances a year, you can always catch a show. Every year in February, they arrange the popular festival Operafestukene, where you get served opera for breakfast, lunch and dinner for 17 days.
You should also join the Nordic Light Festival of Photography, where famous international and Norwegian photographers exhibit their pictures all over town, give lectures, and drink with the locals all through the night.

Lianchihtan (Lotus Pond) Scenic Area is one of Kaohsiung's most traditional scenic areas, and was listed as one of the "Eight Sights of Fongshan" in the Qing Dynasty. There are pavilions by the beach, massive statues of gods and also the "old city" surrounded by the city wall, where you can view traditional living settlements and businesses, you can also sample Zuoying's rich, diverse food in the old streets and traditional markets.
The Longhu Tower (Dragon Tiger Tower) is the most famous scenic spot in Lianchihtan. Constructed in 1976, the tower is seven stories tall, and the dragon and tiger doors are its entrance and exit. Its walls are decorated with koji pottery, which represent proselytizing stories, from a variety of artists.

Yyteri is a popular beach resort in Pori in the Meri-Pori area. The unique dune area and a three-kilometer long sandy beach attract tourists and townspeople to the beach through the summer.
The popular beach is Yyter's largest active sandwiched area. In Yyter there is a wide range of activities, including golf, horseback riding, beach volleyball and surfing. Dogs also have their own beach.

During the 19th century, Varberg became a health resort. The tradition dates back to 1811, when Svartekällan by Apelviken south of the city, was first advertised as a well. A well house was built over the spring in 1817, but from 1837 it was found more practical to transport the water to Varberg, where it was served in the well salon in Brunnsparken opposite the church.
The park was fenced with a rice paddock, where parties, concerts and so on were held for the bathing society. Today, Brunnsparken in Varberg is a lively place in the heart of central Varberg. It houses restaurants and bars as well as shops as well as the magnificent church built 1769-1772.

Mount Fuji (富士山, Fujisan) is with 3776 meters Japan's highest mountain. It is not surprising that the nearly perfectly shaped volcano has been worshiped as a sacred mountain and experienced big popularity among artists and common people throughout the centuries.
Mount Fuji is an active volcano, which most recently erupted in 1707. It stands on the border between Yamanashi and Shizuoka prefectures and can be seen from Tokyo and Yokohama on clear days.
Another easy way to view Mount Fuji is from the train on a trip between Tokyo and Osaka. If you take the shinkansen from Tokyo in direction of Nagoya, Kyoto and Osaka, the best view of the mountain can be enjoyed from around Shin-Fuji Station on the right hand side of the train, about 40-45 minutes into the journey.
Note however, that clouds and poor visibility often block the view of Mount Fuji, and you have to consider yourself lucky if you get a clear view of the mountain. Visibility tends to be better during the colder seasons of the year than in summer, and in the early morning and late evening hours than during the middle of the day.
If you want to enjoy Mount Fuji at a more leisurely pace and from a nice natural surrounding, you should head to the Fuji Five Lake (Fujigoko) region at the northern foot of the mountain, or to Hakone, a nearby hot spring resort. Mount Fuji is officially open for climbing during July and August via several routes.

The Urban Fountains in Unirii Square are illuminated and the artesian wells are synchronized in a show dedicated to the homage of Romanian celebrities who have placed their talent in book volumes, arias, sculptures and immortal works of art.
The square hosts a special "Water Symphony" - every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, between May and October. Here you can attend a special show of water games, music and light projections.
Organized by the Bucharest City Hall and Apa Nova, the Water Symphony starts from 21:30 and brings together Bucharestians, Romanian tourists and international tourists eager to enjoy a sensational show. The music, water and light shows blend harmoniously to offer a unique experience to visitors, the show lasts about 45 minutes, and access to the area is free.
In 2018, the fountain complex in Piata Unirii underwent an extensive rehabilitation process fully supported by the company Apa Nova, as a result of which, the fountains in the center of the Romanian Capital became the first in Europe to benefit from state-of-the-art equipment.

The unique industrial atmosphere, the imposing buildings and the location - close to the historical center of Leiden - make De Meelfabriek unique. We will fill this place with functions and buildings that are slightly different. No average apartments but lofts, not big department stores but special shops. The master plan for the new flour mill is extensive and covers no less than approximately 46,000 m² of floor space. Old industrial buildings are being revived and new buildings are being added.
The first phase was started at the end of 2016: new-build apartments for Young Professionals. Industrial lofts are currently realized in the former mill building and Riffellokaal and will be ready for occupancy in the 2nd half of 2019. The ground floor of the old factory buildings will contain unique shops and galleries. In the summer of 2018 the construction of the 3-level underground parking garage will start. The parking garage will provide the total parking needs of the users and visitors of De Meelfabriek. In this way the terrain remains car-free and there is room for a beautiful square and lots of greenery. De Singeltoren is on top of the parking garage. Housing apartments will be built in De Singeltoren.

Therefore, I thought that it would be interesting to have a "library where you can freely write notes on books", which led to the opening of the library. Of course, please refrain from posting notes that are offensive to public order and morals, but I would like to provide a place where you can feel the warmth of people and the thoughts of strangers through second-hand books, leaving evidence that people have picked them up.
There are already interesting notes and poems written on it, and you can immerse yourself in the thoughts of what kind of person the previous owner was. Please feel free to visit us. Zandvoort is both a municipality and a town located in the province of North Holland. It is considered one of the biggest beach resorts in the country. It's long sandy beaches and coastal dunes attract tourists from all over the Netherlands and abroad during the warm summer months. Zandvoort is also the home of the country’s most prominent racing circuit: Circuit Park Zandvoort.
The town dates all the way back to 1100. It was then known as Sandevoerde. Throughout much of Zandvoort’s history, fishing was a prominent part of the local economy. In the 19th century, the village began transforming into a seaside resort similar to the ones found in the UK at the time. The first resort was officially inaugurated in 1828. After the inauguration, tourists began flocking to Zandvoort. Elisabeth of Bavaria was a famous visitor who spent time in Zandvoort in 1884 and 1885.

You’ll find our camping a few kilometres south of Varberg, in the picturesque little fishing village that is colloquially called Läjet. We have 19 cottages and almost 770 camping pitches, of which 280 have got water and drainage.
We also have two restaurants, which offer entertainment during peak season. We have the ”Kotte club” for the younger guests and quite a lot of treats for the four-footed friends. Dogs even have a menu of their own in the restaurant.

Chattahoochee River Park is a great little park not far outside the city that is very family friendly, and great for flatwater paddling. This area is very picturesque and serene once you paddle away from the boat ramp. This is where the Atlanta Rowing Club meets. There is a playground and walking trails here too, making it a great place for a family outing. Rentals can be attained at the nearby Go With The Flow in Historic Downtown Roswell.

These magnificent mountains tower over a valley bisected by the Snake River. This beautiful valley, overlooked on the western edge by an impressive skyline, is known as Jackson Hole. The Teton Range dominates the landscape of the park.
The range began rising about 10 million years ago. Numerous earthquakes, up to a magnitude 7.5, released tension along the Teton fault building the mountains one step at a time. Each large earthquake breaks the ground by about ten feet dropping the valley floor three to four times as much as the mountains rise. The Grand Teton at 13,770 feet, towers about 7,000 feet above the valley floor suggesting the offset across the fault is up to 30,000 feet. The lack of foothills is due to the presence of the Teton fault.
Erosion fills the valley and carves the range crest forming the jagged Teton skyline. The rugged terrain and lack of foothills allures outdoor enthusiasts of all types to visit this area. Climbers summit at least 12 peaks in the Teton Range over 12,000 feet high with varying degrees of difficulty.

The Willowbrook Water Tower is a functional water tower that helps provide water to the residents of Coldwater, Michigan, USA. From the top of the tower you can see Highway I-69 and the Hampton Inn hotel.

This camera is located on the ground, underneath the main group of bird feeders. Common mammals seen at night include Virginia Opossums, Eastern Cottontails (rabbit), Striped Skunks, and raccoons. During the day you are going to see Eastern Gray Squirrels, American Red Squirrels, Eastern Chipmunks, and lots of birds that enjoy feeding on the ground, such as Northern Cardinals, Blue Jays, American Crows, House Sparrows, and Mourning Doves.
