Among Tsou tribes, Lijia is undoubtedly the most remote and secluded, a mysterious Utopia tucked away in the southern valley. Lijia is adjacent to Lijia Creek, at an altitude of 1,100 to 1,400 meters. County Highway 169 is Lijia’s only external connection, with the main roads ending here. Households in Lijia keep various plants such as bird's-nest fern, rock-ginger fern, and dendrobium orchids. Alleyways are kept clean and full of simple and natural beauty. The surrounding tall mountains are rich in natural resources.

This mountainous town is at an altitude of 1,403 meters, the views, the old street, and the railway are the three unforgettable things about Fenchihu Lake for those lucky enough to visit. When walking along the 500 meter long old street, you will see many vendors selling local foods, such as spicy horseradish, Aiyu seed, and tamarillo.
The sides of Fenchihu Lake are surrounded by mountains. The scene of residential houses sitting between the mountains won the place the reputation as “Joufen of Southern Taiwan.” The houses built on the mountains inconspicuously reveal the trace of time.

Indigenous activities such as gathering food and festivals take place here. Shanyuan Bay is a key part of Dulan and only 12 kilometers away from downtown Taitung. The short 15 minute drive makes Shanyuan Bay easily accessible. On the way to the beach, visitors pass by Xiaoyeliu. Cijin Beach is a must-visit place when you come to Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Located on Miaoqian Road, adjacent to "Cijin Coastal Park". It has an arc-shaped coastline that stretches for several kilometers, with soft sand and clear sea water. The beach is open from April to October every year. During the period, it always attracts a large number of people playing in the water. There are many surfers and parasailing players gathered here to experience the excitement of the seaside.

Lianchihtan (Lotus Pond) Scenic Area is one of Kaohsiung's most traditional scenic areas, and was listed as one of the "Eight Sights of Fongshan" in the Qing Dynasty. There are pavilions by the beach, massive statues of gods and also the "old city" surrounded by the city wall, where you can view traditional living settlements and businesses, you can also sample Zuoying's rich, diverse food in the old streets and traditional markets.
The Longhu Tower (Dragon Tiger Tower) is the most famous scenic spot in Lianchihtan. Constructed in 1976, the tower is seven stories tall, and the dragon and tiger doors are its entrance and exit. Zandvoort is both a municipality and a town located in the province of North Holland. It is considered one of the biggest beach resorts in the country. It's long sandy beaches and coastal dunes attract tourists from all over the Netherlands and abroad during the warm summer months. Zandvoort is also the home of the country’s most prominent racing circuit: Circuit Park Zandvoort.
The town dates all the way back to 1100. It was then known as Sandevoerde. Throughout much of Zandvoort’s history, fishing was a prominent part of the local economy. The city of Kristiansund is situated on four different islands. But don’t worry – in minutes, the tiny ferry Sundbåten will take you between Kirkelandet, Innlandet, Nordlandet and Gomalandet. Ask the skipper to let you off at the Milnbrygga wharf, where you can visit the Norwegian Clipfish Museum. Kristiansund was partly built on fishing, and especially the clipfish – split and salted cod that were traditionally dried on the cliffs along the sea.
Clipfish and bacalao are still staple foods in the region. Get a taste of some of the freshest seafood at Smia Fiskerestaurant. Located in a house from 1787, it is one of the most unique eateries in town. The Coolsingel is the main boulevard of Rotterdam, the second largest city in the Netherlands.
The street enhances the image of the city center in both urban and historical terms. Stretching for almost 1 kilometer, the street has interesting bars, shops and buildings on both sides. The tall eliptical building is the Beurs-World Trade Center, built in 1987. The tower is 93 metres tall and houses around 200 offices. Nearby is Rotterdam CIty Hall, which became a national monument in 1997.
Recent refurbishments and upgrades give the Coolsingel area a unique sense of style. The new Coolsingel will allow for less traffic, have a lot more trees and provide more room for pedestrians and bicyclists. The renovations carry a price tag of approximately 60 million euros. You can watch the trams go past or visit the Hofplein fountain, which lights up in various colours through the year as different events take place in the city.
Erasmus Bridge is a combined cable stayed and bascule bridge, construction began in 1986 and was completed in 1996. It crosses the nieuwe maas in the centre of Rotterdam, connecting the north and south parts of this city, the second largest city in the Netherlands. The bridge is 800 meters long and at its highest point, the bridge is 139 meters tall. Known as the 'erasmusbrug' in dutch, the bridge has also been lovingly nicknamed the swan (‘de zwaan’) by locals due to the distinctive shape.
Around the river, several old warehouses and a number of newer buildings now house cultural institutes and restaurants. In the distance, you can see the soaring De Rotterdam complex. The three linked towers are nearly 150 metres high, forming a ‘vertical city’ of high-class flats, a 4-star hotel, offices, shops, restaurants, fitness and parking facilities.

You can observe most of the European wintering birds here, including Blue Tit, Bullfinch, Blackbird, Great Tit, Nuthatch, European Crested Tit, Marsh Tit, Eurasian Jay, Great Spotted Woodpecker, European Robin, Eurasian Siskin, Long-Tailed Tit, Hawfinch, Coal Tit, Jer, Common Chaffinch, Black Cap, Song Thrush, Common Starling, Hooded Crow, Dunnock, Garden Warbler, Common Pheasant, Wood Pigeon. In the cascade with flowing water, they enjoy lovely bird baths.
Squirrels and mice also visit, familes of foxes and badgers come every night, also marten and weasels. Sometimes you will see red deer hind with their young, arriving for dinner or in the early morning for breakfast :)
In the area there are also the Eared Owl, Kestrel, Tawny Owl, and there are bats.

Erasmus Bridge is a combined cable stayed and bascule bridge, construction began in 1986 and was completed in 1996. It crosses the nieuwe maas in the centre of Rotterdam, connecting the north and south parts of this city, the second largest city in the Netherlands.
The bridge is 800 meters long and at its highest point, the bridge is 139 meters tall. Known as the 'erasmusbrug' in dutch, the bridge has also been lovingly nicknamed the swan (‘de zwaan’) by locals due to the distinctive shape of that one, asymmetrical pylon. It was designed by Ben van Berkel and opened in 1996 by Queen Beatrix.
The bridge has a beautiful lighting display in the evening, so be sure to check the camera then to admire the view.
Bangor is a town in Van Buren County in the U.S. state of Michigan. It was first organized as a town in 1854 and the population was 1,885 at the 2010 census.
It is located in the northeast corner of Bangor Township, midway between Detroit and Chicago along I-94. August, July and June are the most pleasant months in Bangor, while January and December are the least comfortable months. Daxi Bridge is a pedestrian suspension bridge with benches for taking in leisurely views of the city & mountains. It is located in Taoyuan City, Taiwan.
The bridge spans Dahan River and can be found just below Zhongzheng Park. It connects to the cycling track on the left bank of Dahan River and is only available for use to pedestrians and cyclists. In addition to the lights switch on at night, adding atmosphere to the night scenery of the Dahan River banks. The bridge was constructed using the Baroque style similar to the buildings on Daxi Old Street. The bridge connects Ruian Road Section 1 and Daxi Old Street, making it simple to take a tour of culture and food over the weekends.

The Geirangerfjord is one of Norway's most visited tourist sites and has been included on the UNESCO World Heritage List, along with the Nærøyfjord, since 2005.
Along the sides of this magnificent fjord, there a number of abandoned farms. The farms that are most commonly visited are Skageflå, Knivsflå and Blomberg. Skageflå can also be reached on foot from Geiranger, while the others can only be seen from the fjord.
The fjord also has several impressive waterfalls. The two most notable waterfalls in the Geirangerfjord are ‘de Syv Søstre’ (the seven sisters) and ‘Friaren’ (the suitor, also called the wooer). The two waterfalls face one another across the fjord, and the suitor is said to be trying to woo the sisters opposite.
Brudesløret (the bridal veil) is another waterfall on the fjord, thus named because it falls delicately over one rocky edge, and when seen backlit by the sun looks like a thin veil over the rocks.
Facts about the Geirangerfjord:
The town of Westfield is located in western Massachusetts, USA about 100 miles west of Boston, MA. This rail line is part of the CSX Berkshire Subdivision. This camera is located near Mile Post (MP) 108 and looks west. The black RR bridge off in the distance was formerly part of the now defunct New York, New Haven and Hartford RR. It is now a rail trail. Westfield River is to the left of the image.
How many trains go by daily? Roughly 15-20 trains pass in a 24-hour period. Your best bet to see a train is to view early or late in the day. Monday through Thursday are the busiest days; Friday through Sunday are slower. Note that many trains pass in the night and can be hard to see.
Most WB trains are headed for the yard at Selkirk, NY, while IM’s are usually headed to Bedford Park, IL, outside of Chicago. Some autoracks are destined to Louisville, KY or other mid-west destinations. The tank ethanol load trains are heading to Proviso, IL to be interchanged on Union Pacific. Most east bounds are headed to West Springfield, MA on their way to Worcester, MA. Some keep going to Framingham, MA.

Here we are in Plagne Centre, 1,970m above sea level. From this central location, there are three ski lifts that will take you wherever you want to go: Bécoin and Colorado chairlifts and the Funiplagne gondola.
There is also a large selection of retail areas and ski schools and it is the starting point for the Colorado toboggan run and the Buffalo Park fun slope…yee haw!
Nearby, the town of Aime la Plagne has a tradition of welcoming travellers. The first signs of human occupation date from the Middle Iron Age, between around 450 and 25 BC. It is about 20 kilometres from La Plagne’s high altitude villages.
A town of around 4500 inhabitants, Aime offers numerous shops, restaurants and services, where you can find all you need during your stay. It has a railway station served by TGV trains. There is a weekly market on Thursdays all year round in the town centre, with local artisans selling food, beer, honey and cheese, as well as one-off creations, decorative items, furniture and accessories.
Mount Fuji (富士山, Fujisan) is with 3776 meters Japan's highest mountain. It is not surprising that the nearly perfectly shaped volcano has been worshiped as a sacred mountain and experienced big popularity among artists and common people throughout the centuries.
Mount Fuji is an active volcano, which most recently erupted in 1707. It stands on the border between Yamanashi and Shizuoka prefectures and can be seen from Tokyo and Yokohama on clear days.
Another easy way to view Mount Fuji is from the train on a trip between Tokyo and Osaka. If you take the shinkansen from Tokyo in direction of Nagoya, Kyoto and Osaka, the best view of the mountain can be enjoyed from around Shin-Fuji Station on the right hand side of the train, about 40-45 minutes into the journey.
Note however, that clouds and poor visibility often block the view of Mount Fuji, and you have to consider yourself lucky if you get a clear view of the mountain. Visibility tends to be better during the colder seasons of the year than in summer, and in the early morning and late evening hours than during the middle of the day.
If you want to enjoy Mount Fuji at a more leisurely pace and from a nice natural surrounding, you should head to the Fuji Five Lake (Fujigoko) region at the northern foot of the mountain, or to Hakone, a nearby hot spring resort. Mount Fuji is officially open for climbing during July and August via several routes.

The Urban Fountains in Unirii Square are illuminated and the artesian wells are synchronized in a show dedicated to the homage of Romanian celebrities who have placed their talent in book volumes, arias, sculptures and immortal works of art.
The square hosts a special "Water Symphony" - every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, between May and October. Here you can attend a special show of water games, music and light projections.
Organized by the Bucharest City Hall and Apa Nova, the Water Symphony starts from 21:30 and brings together Bucharestians, Romanian tourists and international tourists eager to enjoy a sensational show. The music, water and light shows blend harmoniously to offer a unique experience to visitors, the show lasts about 45 minutes, and access to the area is free.
In 2018, the fountain complex in Piata Unirii underwent an extensive rehabilitation process fully supported by the company Apa Nova, as a result of which, the fountains in the center of the Romanian Capital became the first in Europe to benefit from state-of-the-art equipment.

The town of Făgăraș, in central Romania, has one of the best preserved fortresses in the country. It can be a good base for exploring the surrounding sites or the wider Land of Făgăraș (Țara Făgărașului).
The Făgăraș Fortress is the town’s top tourist attraction. Its construction started in 1310 and various additions and alterations followed up until the 17th century. In time, it served as a prison, barrack and as the headquarters of the episcopate of the Romanian Church United with Rome. It was the residence of Transylvania princess and an administrative center of the medieval Făgăraș area.

During the 19th century, Varberg became a health resort. The tradition dates back to 1811, when Svartekällan by Apelviken south of the city, was first advertised as a well. A well house was built over the spring in 1817, but from 1837 it was found more practical to transport the water to Varberg, where it was served in the well salon in Brunnsparken opposite the church.
The park was fenced with a rice paddock, where parties, concerts and so on were held for the bathing society. Today, Brunnsparken in Varberg is a lively place in the heart of central Varberg. It houses restaurants and bars as well as shops as well as the magnificent church built 1769-1772.

Nevsky Prospekt is St. Petersburg's main avenue and one of the best-known streets in Russia. It is the city's central shopping street and the hub of the city's entertainment and nightlife.
Cutting through the historical center of the city, it runs from the Admiralty to the Moscow Railway Station and then to the Alexander Nevsky Monastery.
In the very first days of St. Petersburg it was simply the beginning of the road to the ancient city of Novgorod, but it quickly became adorned with beautiful buildings, squares and bridges and became the very center of the bustling, rapidly growing city.
Nevsky gradually widens as you travel along its length towards the river and is lined with some of St. Petersburg's most impressive buildings.
Kazan Cathedral is on one side and there is a wonderful view down Kanal Griboedova to the picturesque Russian-style Church of Our Savior on Spilled Blood. In addition there are many different denomination churches that line Nevsky, which prompted the French writer Alexander Dumas to call it "the street of religious tolerance".
There are numerous other attractions in the area. Just a stone's throw from Nevsky, next door to the Grand Hotel Europe, stands Arts Square and the Russian Museum. Further down the road, you'll find the largest department store in the city - "Gostiny Dvor" and the Russian National Library. There is also an impressive monument to Catherine the Great and the Anichkov Bridge, adorned with 4 striking equestrian statues.

Born in 1989, Berlin is queen of her domain! Whether she's napping in her sandy pit or swimming laps in her cooled pool, Berlin chooses what she wants to do and when.
Nuniq - pronounced "new-nick" - was born at Columbus Zoo and Aquarium in 2016 and arrived in Kansas City in 2020. You will frequently see him splashing around in the pool and tearing up some of his favorite toys.
Polar Bear Passage Facts:
• A 140,000 gallon pool chilled to 65 degrees for swimming and diving.
• A giant sand pit for digging (or napping) and a grassy yard for rolling around and playing with enrichment items.
• Air-conditioned bedrooms and den behind the scenes, complete with private swimming pool.
Keeping Busy:
Zookeepers plan daily activities for our bears. They use varied foods, smells, toys and sounds to change what they experience everyday. You may see our bears playing with balls, barrels, logs, or straw – they have a lot of options! You may also notice that Berlin sometimes paces, which is a habit she developed as a younger bear. The amount of time she paces changes from season to season, probably due to weather changes, hormones and natural instincts.
The Menu:
Berlin and Nuniq have a wide choice of food items. Herring, capelin, trout, polar bear kibble, lard and a selection of fruits and vegetables are all on the menu. Seasonally, polar bear weights fluctuate widely just as they would in the Arctic. In summer months, polar bears weigh much less because they are unable to hunt seals on the ice. In the winter, when hunting is possible, polar bears pack on the pounds.

TOWER TEN is part of the WTC Amsterdam complex in Amsterdam’s Zuidas business district, one of the most successful office locations in the Netherlands. When completed, the development will have added 32,000 m2 to the WTC, spread over 22 storeys.
The project also includes the complete renovation of the 17,000 m2 tower on the corner of Strawinskylaan and Beethovenlaan. The overhaul will ensure all offices and facilities are fully in line with the current high-value WTC concept. Both fixed and flexible office spaces will be on offer. TOWER TEN is scheduled for completion mid 2021.

La Cotinière is the largest and most important fishing port of the Charente-Maritime region. The fishing grounds around Oléron are some of the most valuable in Europe, supplying fish, molluscs, shrimps and lobsters.
This port with it's colorful boats, specializes in capturing noble species using fishing techniques that respect quality. In total, no less than 95 different species go to auction each year. Victorine's Market is the island's seafood market. Here you will find fresh seafood, unloaded directly from the boats.
After the visiting the docks, La Cotinière is a perfect place to stroll by the sea or lounge on the terrace of one of its many cafes and restaurants. La Cotinière is also great for those who like shopping, with more than 25 shops and services available, as well as daily markets.
For another gourmet experience you can visit La Cotinière market, which has a wide variety of excellent quality local produce. In July & August, the port comes alive every evening: with a night market, fun fair and street shows.
While on the island you can also visit the modern-style Saint-Nicolas Notre-Dame des flots chapel, built in 1966. Inside, the stained glass windows and the frame are quite remarkable.

Le Havre is the largest city in Normandy, it is located 2 hours from Paris.
The city center was rebuilt by Auguste Perret after the Second World War and today it is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city is decorated with beautiful architecture and a huge variety of public artworks, just walking around the city will fill you with endless inspiration.
To enjoy the sights from a different perspective, you can climb up to the 17th floor of the town hall tower and enjoy a wonderful panoramic view. From here you can see the white curves of Niemeyer’s Volcan, Avenue Foch leading to the twin towers of the Porte Océane and of course the lantern tower of the Church of St Joseph, one of the masterpieces of 20th-century architecture.
A fantastic beach is found just 800 metres from the city centre, it comes alive from spring to autumn. It is a vibrant area thanks to the presence of huts and restaurants. You can practise sports from canoe to stand-up paddle, from kite surfing to BMX and skateboard, you can even play boules! It’s a great place to be, lounging in the deckchairs on the terraces, watching a cruise liner head off, marked by the three siren calls of the Port Watch.
